Get Some New Tools!

As you ascend in your spiritual journey, growth becomes more intentional. It's no longer about simply going with the flow—it's about actively shaping your experience and becoming the best version of yourself. To do this, you must consciously use the tools at your disposal for healing, growth, and transformation. I always say, “new levels require new tools.” What worked at the beginning of your journey may no longer serve you, and that's okay. It's a sign that you're evolving.

The Power of Intentionality

When you first start your spiritual path, meditation, mindfulness, and maybe even a few affirmations might be enough to guide you. But as you deepen your awareness and begin stepping into your purpose, you need to expand your toolkit. Being intentional with the tools you use for your healing becomes essential for growth. This means integrating new practices that align with who you're becoming.

Think of it like upgrading your phone—what worked fine in the past eventually needs a software update to handle the new tasks and features you're using. Similarly, your spiritual journey may require new approaches and tools as you ascend.

New Tools for a Higher You

Let’s explore some practical tools to help you grow and evolve on your path:

1. Increase Meditation Practices – As your life gets busier or more complex, you'll need more grounding. Try extending your meditation sessions or exploring different forms, like guided meditations, breathwork, or sound baths, to find what resonates with your new state of being.

2. Affirmations for Who You Want to Be – The affirmations you used early in your journey may no longer reflect where you're headed. Update them! Create affirmations that embody who you want to become. Speak them in the present tense, as if they are already true: "I am completely confident in sharing my gifts," or "I attract the right opportunities at the right time."

3. Prioritize Sleep & Better Sleep Habits –
Sleep is one of the most underrated tools for spiritual and emotional growth. Consider adopting a consistent bedtime, using a wind-down routine, or even cutting off screen time an hour before bed. Getting enough rest allows your body and mind to heal and rejuvenate.

4. Fasting – Fasting is an ancient and powerful tool for spiritual growth. Different types of fasting, such as water fasting, fruit fasting, and spiritual fasts, can help clear mental fog, reset your body, and deepen your connection with the divine. Consider incorporating fasting into your routine, whether it's a daily practice or a more focused spiritual fast to renew your energy and purpose.

5. Social Media Detoxes – Taking a break from social media is a powerful tool for reclaiming your energy and attention. When you step away from the noise of social feeds, you reconnect with your inner world and create space for clarity and new insights.

6. Consistently Connect with Nature – Nature is a source of healing energy. Make it a habit to spend time outdoors, whether that's a simple walk outside, sitting near a body of water, grounding (walking barefoot on grass), or even gardening. Connecting with the earth helps you stay grounded and attuned to the natural flow of life.

7. Journaling to Decompress – Journaling is a great way to clear mental clutter. It allows you to release pent-up emotions and reflect on your journey. Write often, even if it’s just a few lines about your thoughts and feelings, to help you process and decompress.

8. Seek Out New Books and Authors – Look for authors or spiritual teachers who resonate with your current season of life. Sometimes, just one book can unlock new levels of understanding or give you the perspective you need to keep moving forward.

9. Find a Mentor – When you reach new stages of growth, it can be immensely helpful to have someone who’s been there before. Seek out a mentor or guide who can provide you with wisdom, accountability, and support as you evolve.

New Levels, New Tools: A Personal Anecdote

I remember when I hit a particularly difficult point in my spiritual journey. The practices that had once brought me so much peace were no longer working. It felt like I was doing everything "right," but I wasn't seeing the progress I wanted. I realized I was trying to grow with outdated tools. That's when I started exploring new practices—more advanced meditation techniques, journaling more deeply, and learning from mentors who had navigated this path before me. It was a wake-up call: growth requires you to let go of what's no longer working and embrace the tools that match your new level.

Conclusion

Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, it's important to recognize when it's time for new tools. Be willing to adapt, experiment, and seek out what aligns with the version of yourself you're becoming. Whether it's as simple as a new meditation practice, incorporating fasting, or working with a mentor, the key is to stay open and curious. Growth is an ongoing process, and the right tools will help you move forward with grace and purpose.
